For our client, a prestigious company operating in the hotel industry, we are recruiting a Senior Accountant Economist with over 7 years of experience in accounting. If you are an organized person, detail-oriented, enjoy working with numbers and accounting, and are committed to continuous learning, then you have an excellent career opportunity ahead of you.

What we expect from the ideal candidate?

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Solid knowledge of tax and accounting legislation
  • Professional experience in a similar position for a minimum of 7 years
  • Previous experience with ERP systems (e.g. Charisma or similar systems) is an advantage
  • Excellent MS Office skills: Word and Excel
  • Good organizational and analytical skills, meeting deadlines
  • Good communication skills, teamwork, involvement, proactivity
  • Responsibility and integrity
  • Relevant professional certifications (e.g. CECCAR, CAFR, CFF) or being a trainee in the process of obtaining certifications is an advantage

What will be your main responsibilities?

  • Recording various accounting transactions assigned in the area of responsibility, covering the entire range of company's economic activities
  • Verification and supervision of accounting work to maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
  • Active participation in monthly/quarterly/annual closing activities according to the closing calendar
  • Verification of correctness of accounting entries, identification, investigation, and correction of differences
  • Reconciliation of balances, components of balances, adjustments, provisions, sales/purchase journals
  • Preparation of tax returns, participation in the preparation of semi-annual, annual, and consolidated balance sheets
  • Participation in resolving internal and statutory audit requirements
  • Preparation of various analyses and reports based on financial accounting information
  • Participation, as a team member, in various projects involving reporting tools (ERP application upgrades, reporting, non-accounting situations as needed)
  • Other accounting work depending on the organization of the financial-accounting department
