Clinical Psychologist/ABA Therapist

Autism Step by Step Center (Say YES to Life Association) is looking for a person willing to learn ABA therapy or with experience working with children with autism. The center has program coordinators and collaborating doctors. It is very important to mention that those interested in such collaboration must meet the following requirements (mandatory):
- graduate in psychology, psycho-pedagogy, or a final year student;
- the ability to understand that they will work with atypical children,
- to have a mountain of patience and another of scientific curiosity (to want to learn a lot about these pathologies),
- seriousness (meaning to respect contractual requirements, but also the people they meet, whether collaborators or beneficiaries, direct/indirect of the services provided),
- perseverance and a desire to always learn something new, for self-development,
to have enough time (together with the center coordinator, establish the necessary time to work with these children),
high resistance to stress and physical effort.

Job Description
Responsibilities:
- collaboration with the center coordinator to implement work strategies and procedures;
- collaboration with other specialists in the center to apply the therapeutic recovery plan;
- correcting and improving maladaptive behaviors;
- progress monitoring;
- results evaluation;
- counseling and family support;
Holding a certificate of free practice in Clinical Psychology or Special Psycho-pedagogy, completing a national or international long or short-term professional training program of at least 40 hours in a scientifically validated intervention method in ASD, approved by the Board of Directors of the College of Psychologists in Romania, is an advantage.
